12 members signed up for the first mixed american tournament of 2025 and competed for the Taittinger Ice Bucket Trophy and the customary Taittinger champagne.

There was a £2 charge to cover the cost of an appetising spread produced by Liz Dear.

The tournament consisted of mixed doubles matches of 6 games, organised so that where possible each match played was with a different partner against a pair not played before. The two highest scoring men and women forward to the final.

At the end of the group stage, Gill and Chris were the highest scoring ladies with Colin and Robin  the highest scoring men.

Pairings were then drawn out of a hat with Gill and Colin playing Chris and Robin in the final.

The final was played as  a 21 point tie breaks with Gill and Coplin coming out on top beating Chris and Robin 21-9 to claim the Taittinger Ice Bucket Trophy and their bottle of Taittinger champagne. Chris and Robin each received a tube of balls as runners up.

The next tournament will be held on Sunday 29th June 2025.
